Public artwork for the Humaniti art collection

Exterior courtyard at Humaniti Hotel, Montréal

The giant exterior lightbox was installed in the summer of 2022.

I am proud to see my photograph Tree of Life join the extensive Humaniti Hotel art collection. The large-scale public artwork is on display in the courtyard of the hotel. This piece is part of the Exile from Babylon exhibition to be presented in New York City next January and Toronto later in the spring (more on that soon!).

For the Exile from Babylon body of work,I documented a squatters' camp in the California desert. On this decommissioned military base, the community evolves without a municipal government and without running water, electricity, or garbage removal. The branches of the few trees growing in the area are littered with trash that gets blown away due to the high winds in the desert.
